4K Media reveals Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V and new website

4K Media debuted Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V at the Kidscreen Summit on February 11th, and has launched Yugioh.com, the official fan site for the Yu-Gi-Oh! animated series franchise worldwide outside of Asia.yu-gi-oh300

The company is responsible for the global brand management, broadcast and digital sales of the new series outside of Asia. Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V, set to premiere this spring in Japan, will introduce fans to Action Duels, where characters and monsters interact for the first time.

Kristen Gray, senior vice president operations, business and legal affairs, said: “4K Media and its Japanese partners continue to invest in the Yu-Gi-Oh! brand with this new production. The introduction of Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V as the latest entry to the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise will further fan engagement and excitement for the brand.”

4K Media also began the New Year with the launch of the Yugioh.com website – the official fan site for the Yu-Gi-Oh! animated series franchise worldwide outside of Asia. Appealing to both the television and trading card game fans of the brand, the website offers a comprehensive Yu-Gi-Oh! online experience. Website highlights include:

  • Complete series overviews
  • In-depth information on characters as well as the cards that appear in the series
  • Streaming of more than 770 full-length episodes (including 164 subtitled) available for viewing in the US
  • Over 1,900 card information pages available at launch, with new card information added weekly
  • News and information about consumer products.

The website is optimised to be viewed on multiple devices including PCs, tablets and smartphones. It also integrates many social networking features. Mark Kirk, SVP digital operations, said: “The launch of this new site is the first phase of our Yu-Gi-Oh! digital strategy that allows users to engage the brand wherever and whenever they want.”

The Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise is currently in its 12th consecutive year of broadcast in the US and most major markets worldwide. The series and brand includes a bestselling trading card game, animated series and motion picture releases.
